Our areas of service delivery include ...
1. Building Public Health Policy by:
- Assisting pre-schools, e.g. kohanga reo, kura and marae to develop and implement nutritional and physical activity policies
- Provision of a community based breast-feeding campaign
2. Creating Supportive Environments by:
- Promoting the consumption of vegtables and fruit in a variety of settings of workplaces, schools and marae
- Undertaking initiatives with the community, e.g. marae, to inform and influence healthy food choices and physical activities
3. Strengthening Community Action by:
- Supporting community initiatives that promote healthy eating and physical activity, e.g. community garden, line dancing, etc.
- Collaborate with other nutrition and physical activity agencies to contribute to an intersectorial approach
- Provide training programmes to disseminate relevant information
- Providing support to school based programmes, e.g. the Fruit in Schools Programme

- provide a supportive environment which enables healthy behaviour changes
- support individuals and whanau about the importance of healthy eating habits and regular physical activity
- provide advice and support to community groups and agencies regarding health promotion of nutrition and physical activity, eg. kohanga reo
- provide input/support to community based nutrition programmes and/or physical activity programmes developed by other agencies, e.g. Push Play
- hold health exhibitions, promotions and health hui
- promote regular physical activity within a Marae setting, e.g. line dancing, low impact exercise classes
