Pou Hakinakina Service
As part of Te Tihi o Ruahine Whanau Ora Alliance, this service engages with and assesses whanau to identify their strengths, needs and aspirations regarding whakapakari tinana. In terms of Whanau Ora, a main aim of this service is to contribute actively to whanau aspirations and potential.
Keys Task Within This Role are to:
- Promote whakapakari tinana with whanau to improve their wellbeing and encourage positive lifestyle changes
- Leverage expertise on activities promoting whakapakari tinana to strengthen whanau cababilities
- Develop an action plan to identify the Regions outcomes and approach that our Regional needs, to support whanau to achieve their goals and aspirations to reach their whakapakari tinana.
The Provision of Whanau Support:
This service supports a minimum of 30 whanau per annum through referrals received from home organisations such as Te Ohu Mutunga, Tane Ora and other agencies. As part of programme delivery, whanau are supported to receive third party support e.g. Gyms, Lido, Te Ao Maori Physical Activity Programmes etc.
